The People's Health Alliance

Ongoing platform work for a health CIC

Ongoing WordPress platform work for a grassroots Community Interest Company helping people take a more active role in their own health. The PHA ecosystem brings together a main information site, a large resource library, practitioner and community group directories, bespoke membership features, the PHA Village community forum currently in development, and a separate shop.

What it needed to do

Support a growing health movement.

The People's Health Alliance is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company built around holistic health, education, community, and self-directed wellbeing. The WordPress platform needed to support that breadth: public information, practitioner discovery, local community groups, member participation, resources, and commerce.

My role has been ongoing, covering the main site, bespoke membership features, the PHA Village community forum currently in development, two front-end submission directories, a substantial resource library, and a separate shop. The challenge has been to keep a large, evolving ecosystem understandable for people who may arrive looking for very different kinds of help.

01

Main information platform

A central WordPress site for the CIC's mission, initiatives, educational material, community information, and routes into the wider PHA network.

02

Large resource library

Articles, videos, podcasts, events, modality descriptions, and educational resources organised so visitors can explore health topics in different formats.

03

Practitioner directory

A searchable directory for holistic, integrative, and functional practitioners, so people have a clearer route to relevant support.

04

Community group directory

A second directory for local community groups and hubs, so people can find trusted local connections.

05

Bespoke membership and PHA Village

Membership functionality and the PHA Village community forum, currently in development and expected to go live in July 2026.

06

Shop and ongoing infrastructure

A separate shop and continuing development support, so the digital ecosystem can keep changing as the organisation grows.
